What to expect

Your first
visit, mapped.

You'll watch, you'll learn, and yes, you might get called on. Here's the full arc of a Thursday meeting from the moment you walk in.

Step 01

Grab a name tag at the welcome table. We'll ask how you found us.

Step 02

Meeting starts

Early on, you'll stand and introduce yourself — your name and what brought you here. Brief and low-pressure.

Step 03

Engage

Watch members give speeches and feedback. You may be invited to try Table Topics — 1–2 minutes of impromptu speaking. You can pass; most guests give it a shot.

Step 04

Closure

At the end, we'll ask what you thought. We welcome your honest feedback.

Success stories

Real members.
Real stories.

No one showed up polished.

With the assistance of fellow Toastmasters I learned ZOOM, and we've used it for three Christmas holidays with relatives across the country.
VD

Vince D.

They were friendly and welcoming, and made sure that all of the guests had a chance to participate.
BS

Brendan S.

Today, if I have confidence to speak to groups of people, that credit goes to GTM club members who helped me learn, grow, and think!

Who we are

40+ members.
Every Thursday.
One library.

Members from all backgrounds, different ages, different countries, different skill levels. We meet every Thursday in a junior high library and take speaking seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

We compete at district contests. We cheer loudly for each other. And we give the kind of honest, useful feedback that actually helps people improve. Read our story
